Stanislawa (Stasia) Studzinski was born in Rozlucz Poland on September 12, 1935 to Waclaw and Stefania Jaworski. When WWII came to Poland, Stasia, her older sister Czeslawa and their parents were taken to Germany where they were housed in forced labor camps. During the war, 2 more children were born to the Jaworskis, Adam and Lidia. In 1951, the Jaworskis immigrated to the US where they were sponsored by Catholic Charities in the SF bay area. Stasia attended Palo Alto High School and excelled at learning English.Stasia met Michael Studzinski and the two were married in May 1955. The following year their first child Wanda was born. Soon afterwards, young wife and mother Stasia was diagnosed with cancer and subsequently went through radiation therapy and several surgeries at Stanford Hospital. During this time, son Christopher and then daughter Sabryna (aka Didi) were born.Besides being a fun and hard working “stay at home” mother, her many accomplishments included providing daycare to neighborhood children which in turn, earned extra money for the family. This afforded the Studzinskis the ability to go on fun trips to Disneyland, camp in the Sierras and visit family in Southern California.Stasia loved children and teaching. She volunteered as a Girl Scout leader and always drove multiple children when the elementary school had field trips. She learned of Montessori classes and began attending the program at Foothill College. While Stasia went to school in the evenings, Michael fed and watched their 3 kids after his work day ended. Upon graduating, she found work teaching and was still able to be home when her 3 children were done with their school day. She was an avid gardener, loved animals, cooked and provided delicious meals for her family. She also sewed, knitted, foraged for mushrooms in the local mountains and her love of music made her feet move! The memory of her sweet smile will always be with us.Services are at Darling & Fisher Chapel 615 North Santa Cruz Ave. Los Gatos on February 16 with Visitation beginning 4 pm and Rosary following at 5, Mass will be held at Queen of Apostles Church 4911 Moorpark Ave. San Jose on February 17 at 10 am and burial at Gate of Heaven in Los Altos at 11:30.
