Obituary

George Damiano, born March 10, 1933 in Monterey Park, CA, served in the US Navy on the USS Boxer from 1952-1956. Was awarded the Korean Service Medal (2 stars), United Nations Service Medal, National Defense Service Medal, China Service Medal (Extended), and the Presidential Unit Citation. After the Navy he met the love of his life Mary Spaich and they were married in 1957 until her passing in 2002. George worked for the County of Santa Clara for 32 years.Preceded in death by his wife Mary, parents Vita and Joseph Damiano Sr, brother Victor Riolo (Rita). Survived by nephew Robert Riolo (Brett Faris), niece Kathleen Aki (Ed), nephew Patrick Riolo (Barbara).”Uncle George, you are now with your beloved Mary to take your wonderful walks and maybe this time she will let you win at badminton”A Private Service will be held.
