Obituary

Born on May 29, 1922 in Amador City, CA. Passed away on February 7, 2024 in San Jose, CA. Proceeded in death by her father Angelo Picollo, husband Jack Kendall, sister Dorothy Porfido, mother Lucy Picollo (age 104), and son Peter Kendall. Survived by daughter, Sharon Wood (Wayne); grandchildren Scott Wood (Shelley), Ken Wood (Janett), Christina Moneypenny (Mike), and Steven Kendall; great-grandchildren Melanie, Allina, Brianna, Nathan, Lili, Kayla (Evan), Cassie (Drew), and Ken; great-great-grandchildren Harley, Casey, Lane, and Alex. Known to our family as Nannie Nolie, she was a switchboard operator in the 1940’s, a stay-at-home mom, and a cafeteria volunteer who became certified and employed with the Alum Rock School District. She managed the kitchen at McCollam Elementary School until she retired in the early 1980’s. She was a proud, independent Italian who loved to cook and who loved her family. Funeral service at Oak Hill Cemetery on 2/26/24 at 10:30am. In lieu of flowers, please give a donation to your favorite charity.
