MORGAN HILL – A 44-year-old Hollister man has been arrested on suspicion of robbing two pharmacies of prescription drugs in Morgan Hill, police said.

The robberies happened Dec. 30 at a Rite-Aid at 16000 Monterey Road and Feb. 7 at a CVS at 16995 Walnut Grove Drive, according to the Morgan Hill Police Department.

In both cases, the suspect told the victim he had a gun and demanded prescription medications, police said. The suspect made off with medications, but police did not disclose the type or quantity.

Detectives eventually identified the suspect and linked him to similar robberies in other cities.

On Monday, the suspect was arrested and booked into the Santa Clara County Main Jail on charges of robbery.

Anyone with information related to the cases can contact Detective Adrian Sapien at 669-253-4995 or adrian.sapien@morganhill.ca.gov, or the tip line at 800-222-8477 (TIPS).
